Hi, I’m Libby and I work with Ellie in Rehab Services! On the outside, Ellie tends to have a naturally grumpy expression, but underneath she is a very intent listener who is quite sensitive to client needs. We use lots of toys in Rehab Services that might make other horses nervous, but Ellie takes them all in stride with her calm demeanor. She’s always up for new accessories like paper windmills, bubbles, balls, rings, blankets, clips, and Hawaiian leis.
One of my favorite things to do with Ellie is lunge her before Rehab sessions. It’s like having a little stretching routine before we go to work! Ellie is really attentive to cues and enjoys getting to blow off some steam before she gets serious for the lesson.
During the past year, Ellie has really stepped up to fill in for fellow herd members, Pippin and Thistle, who have needed some time off. In that time, she’s become a favorite pony of mine and rehab clients for how reliable she is. One client even dressed up as Ellie for Halloween with a cute matching brown horse onesie!”
