Ellen is among one of Forward Stride’s many talented PATH Certified Riding Instructors and has over 10 years of experience with volunteering and teaching.

Ellen fell in love with horses and riding at the age of 11 when her sister and her bought their first horse. Ever since, she has been a passionate and dedicated horse lover. Ellen came to Forward Stride as a volunteer after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Through volunteering, Ellen discovered how being around horses again, and especially riding, improved her health and relieved her MS symptoms.

Today, through teaching, Ellen enjoys helping others. Especially helping those with similar challenges to find joy and health with horses and horse people. Ellen’s three favorite things include her children, dogs, and horses.
