Captain
Captain is the lovely buckskin Tennessee Walker that you see frolicking in Pasture G these days. While he is not currently a program herd member, he will be staying on with us as a boarder while his owner, staff member Kimberlee Cooper, adds to his training to see if time and consistency can help him put aside some anxiety when new folks ride and handle him. He is a sweet, young, healthy gent. We hope he is able to join the program herd sometime this year.
Pico
Pico is the second mustang to be added to Pasture F. He was born on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation. His gorgeous appaloosa coloring and compact size give his heritage away. His sweet, shy, unassuming character is earning him a spot in our lesson and program herd. He takes a little while to warm up to people, but is quite a character once he trusts a person enough to let it shine through.
Scotch
Rounding out the herd in Pasture F is our new tallest horse, Scotch. He is a draft cross (1/4 Belgian, 1/4 Spotted Draft, 1/4 Clydesdale, 1/4 Quarter Horse) with a lot of love to give and a lot to learn. He is in training to be part of our vaulting horse team. Like Reba before him, though, we will take it very slow and give his young body time to mature before he takes on a lesson load.
