A Letter from Rachel
I came to Forward Stride as a horse crazy twelve-year-old, begging for a horse. Now I volunteer as much as I can and enjoy every minute of my time. The Round-Up Relay was a good way to help spread the word and for me to learn how to help with the work I do to help Forward Stride. Forward stride helps me with stress that comes from high stress work. My favorite job is doing the water and getting soaking wet in the summer, as well as doing massage and grooming the horses when I can.
Through Forward Stride I have learned a lot about horses, but also myself. I have also gained many new friends. Forward Stride has helped me become a better person and given me a clear idea of what I want to do when I grow up.
I would not be where I am today without all the people I look up to at Forward Stride and without all the experiences those people have given me.

We Need Your Help!
For many individuals, their personal therapy is in the form of giving back through our Volunteer Program. Being part of an organization that changes lives through equine assisted activities and therapies is an extremely powerful therapy tool, all on it’s own.
Did you know… volunteering plays a huge role in building self esteem, confidence, and overall well-being? This is the reason many of our volunteers keep coming back.
Help us ensure our volunteers and participants continue having a place where they improve their lives and the lives of others by making a tax-deductible contribution today!
