We are pleased to invite you to our panel discussion titled, “The Importance of Inclusion for Everybody”*, hosted by the Leg Up Society!

Saturday, May 18th, 5-8 pm
Forward Stride at Feves Family Farm
23839 SW Daniel Rd
Beaverton, OR 97078

We will begin with a social hour from 5 to 6, including a wine tasting and a lovely display of art by local artists. Then at 6 we will start our panel discussion, led by Miss Oregon USA, Natalie Tonneson, a volunteer at Forward Stride! The topic of the panel is inclusion and it will feature experts in a wide variety of fields, including elementary school teacher Becky Tengs, and our very own Executive Director, Amber Varner.

RSVP to our Facebook event to let us know if you’re coming! Questions about the event? Feel free to email us here.

*We will be discussing inclusion in society, what it means in different situations, its pros and cons, and other aspects of life in a world with people of all types of abilities. For example, inclusion at Forward Stride means that people with and without disabilities are welcomed just the same, and are placed in classes based on the same criteria (riding skill, personal goals, etc.). We don’t segregate our classes based on disability or diagnosis. This works well for us and our clients, but inclusion is a complex topic and has challenges in other situations, as well as benefits.
