Here’s a bit about Braiden and Brian!
How long have you been volunteering at Forward Stride and why did you start?
We love volunteering to be around the horses and the community of Forward Stride. We have been volunteering for a little over two years.
Who is your favorite horse?
For Braiden I would have to say Sterling, he is always good for a snuggle. For me I would have to say Rune will always hold a place in my heart. Of course we need to include Reba who is a cuddler and Panache the goof ball. We can’t just limit it to horses, we need to include Nala, Ryder and sweet Lady Loretta. (Staff note: we love our staff dogs!)
Do you have a hobby you love to spend time on?
Coding and creating software and Roblox video game for Braiden.
What is one piece of advice you would give a new volunteer?
Most people try to have a special relationship with the horses. Those truly special relationships happen when the horse chooses you. These horses are great, so hang out with them, talk to them and trust that they will build that relationship with you in a manner and time that they are comfortable with.
